History You Can Touch

History is so much more than abstract theory and politics which, unfortunately, seems to be the primary focus of today's 'progressive' historians. I LOVE history that you can "touch." This is one of the reasons I so much love relic hunting farms and colonial homesites here in the Shenandoah Valley. These relics tell a story. Each relic has a history, a memory a purpose. And it's a history I can actually touch.
